A Note from Mr. D.: We're famous! HERE is a link for an NBC Nightly News story that was shot in my ELD 4 class. The segment is a pretty negative one about how American students are not reading at grade level, but, happily, that is not the case with so many of my students here at Muir. My message in the segment (though they nearly edited me out): standardized testing is negatively affecting students' reading, and students who read regularly - and love what they read - will achieve higher reading scores naturally. Keep reading, kids!
